Working With AI at Let’s Talk Admin: A Tool, Not a Single Source of Truth

At Let’s Talk Admin, we work with many businesses that are exploring or already using AI to support their day-to-day operations. I’ll be honest — when AI first emerged, I was strongly against it. Like many in administration, I was concerned it would take admin roles away and devalue the importance of human support.

Over time, I’ve seen that it isn’t the case.

Used correctly, AI can be a valuable addition to a business toolkit — but it should never replace human judgement, experience, or accountability. AI can assist with drafting emails, outlining content, summarising information, and speeding up routine admin tasks. For some of my clients, it helps reduce workload and improve efficiency.

However, AI is not always right. It can misunderstand context, miss nuance, or confidently provide incorrect information — even though it will often flag when it may be wrong. This is why oversight matters.

At Let’s Talk Admin, I support clients in using AI appropriately, ensuring anything produced is reviewed, refined, and aligned with their business tone and objectives. AI may provide a starting point, but it is always checked by a human before it’s sent, published, or relied upon. Your communication still sounds like you. Your brand voice remains intact. Accuracy and professionalism are never compromised.

AI should be treated as a tool — not a single source of truth. When used thoughtfully and responsibly, it can free up time and reduce admin pressure without replacing the value of skilled administration.

Call to Action: If you’re using AI in your business — or thinking about it — and want support to ensure it’s being used safely and effectively, Let’s Talk Admin can help. I provide experienced, human-led admin support that works alongside modern tools — not instead of them.
